Team news

A win for West Ham will see them qualify as group winners with games to spare, giving David Moyes greater flexibility to rest players in the coming weeks.

It's an incentive that could see Moyes naming a strong team, which will please fans at the London Stadium on Thursday night.

Anderlecht are the Hammers' closest rivals in the group. A 1-0 win in the reverse fixture will give West Ham the belief that they can do the same on home turf, so expect a similar team to the one that faced the Belgian outfit last week.

Gianluca Scamacca started against Fulham in the Premier League at the weekend, while Michail Antonio started against Anderlecht last week, so expect both strikers to see some game time.

Young midfielder Flynn Downes is likely to start after impressing in the reverse fixture last week, while Manuel Lanzini and Lucas Paqueta will likely make the starting 11 as Maxwel Cornet remains injured.

For Anderlecht, ex-Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is set to miss out through injury, but Wolves-loanee Fabio Silva should start.

West Ham vs Anderlecht predicted teams

Anderlecht: Van Crombrugge; Delcroix, Hoedt, Debast, Amuzu, Ashimeru, Diawara, Arnstad, Murillo, Verschaeren, Fabio Silva.
