When is Spurs vs Frankfurt?

Our coverage from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gets underway at 7.15pm (KO 8pm) on Wednesday 12 October, live on BT Sport 3.

Team news

Spurs switched to a 3-5-2 formation for their hard-fought victory away to Brighton at the weekend.

Ex-Brighton man Yves Bissouma came into the centre of midfield at the expense of Richarlison, until a late change in the second half.

With an extra man in midfield Spurs looked more solid, but Antonio Conte could revert to a 3-4-3 at home to Frankfurt in a game Spurs need to win.

Spurs dominated much of the reverse fixture, but some poor finishing and sloppy final passes cost them the three points. A few lapses in concentration at the back almost cost Tottenham a point, too.

They’ll need to be more clinical this time around, and with Son, Richarlison and Kane leading the line they’ll expect to take all three points against the Germans at home.

Clement Lenglet could replace Ben Davies who returned to the team against Brighton, while Sessegnon and Doherty are likely to make way for Ivan Perisic and Emerson Royal respectively.

Frankfurt suffered a 3-0 defeat to Bochum at the weekend, having been in good form going into the match. Mario Gotze returned to the starting line-up after missing out to Tottenham last week through injury.
