The Champions League is back!

All matches in the 2022/23 competition, from the group stage to the final, will be exclusively live on BT Sport.

Chelsea are the first British side to kick off their campaign as they travel to Croatia to face Dinamo Zagreb.

Last season, the Blues exited at the quarter-finals following a seesaw clash with Real Madrid that eventually saw the Spanish prevail 5-4 on aggregate. Thomas Tuchel's men are currently in a bit of a sticky run of form, with three wins, a draw and two defeats from their first five Premier League games this term.

Dinamo meanwhile are comfortably top of Croatia's top flight and navigated three knockout rounds to reach Group E - which also includes Red Bull Salzburg and Milan - so will provide a stern test of the 2021 winners' credentials.

Dinamo Zagreb vs Chelsea preview

After relinquishing their Champions League crown to Real Madrid last season, Chelsea kick off their attempt to win it back in Croatia's capital.

The start to the campaign has been less than perfect for Thomas Tuchel's men, who have already dropped eight Premier League points in their last six matches.

Saturday's 2-1 comeback win over West Ham was a morale-booster though, as Wesley Fofana made his Blues debut, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in contention to feature on Tuesday and N'Golo Kante remains the only member of Tuchel's squad on the sidelines after injuring a hamstring against Tottenham three weeks ago.

The west Londoners face a Dinamo Zagreb side who are in red-hot form and sit a monumental eight points clear after just eight games in the Croatian top flight as they attempt to win the division for the sixth year running.

Ante Cacic's side had to negotiate three rounds of qualifying to reach this stage - knocking out Macedonian outfit Shkupi, Bulgaria's Ludogorets Razgrad and Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.

They also have Mislav Orsic in their ranks, the man whose stunning hat-trick completed an incredible turnaround against Spurs two seasons ago to dump them out of the Europa League in the last 16.
