Barcelona 1-0 Dynamo Kiev - Watch Replay
Gerard Pique's goal ten minutes before the interval secured a much-needed win for Barcelona over Dynamo Kiev at Camp Nou.
With the front three of Luuk de Jong, Serginio Dest and Memphis Depay drawing blanks, it was left to the long-serving centre back to come up with the goods with a smart finish from Jordi Alba's cross.
The timely result gets Barcelona on the board after 3-0 defeats to Bayern Munich and Benfica in Group E and eases the pressure slightly on coach Ronald Koeman.
Salzburg 3-1 Wolfsburg- Watch Replay
Red Bull Salzburg went top of Group G with a 3-1 win over Wolfsburg thanks to Noah Okafor's second-half double.
The hosts took the lead when Karim Adeyemi took advantage of some slack defending and slotted home before ex-Man City forward Lukas Nmecha hit back for the visitors.
But the impressive Okafor had the final say with two strikes after the interval to down the Bundesliga side and send Red Bull Salzburg top of the group after three matches.
Man Utd 3-2 Atalanta - Watch Replay
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comeback kings did it again as Cristiano Ronaldo secured Manchester United a thrilling 3-2 victory in a breathless Champions League clash with Atalanta.
There was intense scrutiny on the 1999 treble hero and his players heading into the Group F encounter after Saturday’s embarrassing loss at Leicester compounded recent poor performances.
United were staring down the barrel of a fifth loss in eight matches and were booed by some fans as they trudged off at half-time trailing by two goals, only for Solskjaer’s side to storm back memorably at Old Trafford.
Chelsea 4-0 Malmo FF - Watch Replay
Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner limped out of Chelsea’s facile 4-0 Champions League win over Malmo to deal the Blues a fresh set of injury concerns.
Jorginho converted two penalties, while Andreas Christensen and Kai Havertz laid on classy finishes – but Chelsea’s new injuries still grabbed the greatest attention.
Lukaku hobbled off in clear pain with a suspected ankle problem, while Werner appeared to pick up a hamstring issue as the Blues claimed their second win in Group H.
Thomas Tuchel had admitted his international players were suffering from fatigue and feeling flat ahead of Wednesday’s Stamford Bridge clash.
Benfica 0-4 Bayern Munich - Watch Replay
Leroy Sane inspired Bayern Munich to a resounding win over Benfica at the Estadio da Luz as the Germans ran in four late goals to maintain their 100 percent record.
After being well-matched by the hosts, Bayern took the lead when Sane scored a delightful free-kick in the 70th minute.
The ex-Man City winger then forced an own goal off Everton Soares before teeing up Robert Lewandowski to net from close range.
Sane then added a fourth for Bayern in the closing stages in a scoreline which in truth flattered Julien Nagelsmann's side.
Zenit 0-1 Juventus - Watch Replay
Dejan Kulusevski scored a late winner as Juventus made it three wins from three with a dramatic victory in St Petersburg.
In a dull first half in which the visitors failed to break Zenit down, Claudinho went close while Federico Chiesa should have scored for the Old Lady.
Juventus upped the tempo after the break and almost went ahead through Weston McKennie but the breakthrough didn’t come until substitute Kulusevkski glanced Mattia de Sciglio’s cross into the far corner to claim all three points.
Lille 0-0 Sevilla - Watch Replay
Lille and Sevilla's wait for a first win of the 2021/22 Champions League campaign went on after a goalless draw in north-west France.
In a poor game of few chances, Sevilla had the better of the game but created little in the way of clear-cut chances as they finished with a third draw in three.
Group G remains wide open though with Sevilla, Lille and Wolfsburg separated by just a point heading into Matchday 4.
Young Boys 1-4 Villarreal - Watch Replay
Europa League champions Villarreal secured a huge 4-1 win over Young Boys of Bern to keep pace with the rest of Group F.
The visitors took an early lead through Spain international Yeremi Pino and were 2-0 up in the 16th minute when fellow international Gerard Moreno found the target.
Meschak Elia pulled one back for Young Boys with 13 minutes remaining but late goals from Alberto Moreno and Samuel Chukuwueze made sure of the Yellow Submarines’ win.
