TNT Sports Reload - Episode 11
Sep 26After qualifying comfortably from Group C, Man City begin their knockout campaign against dangerous German opponents Borussia Monchengladbach.
Coronavirus protocols implemented by the German government mean City were denied permission to play the first leg in Monchengladbach, leading to both sides agreeing to play the fixture in the Hungarian capital instead.
Well-regarded coach Marco Rose guided the Bundesliga side through a tough group containing Real Madrid and Inter Milan and advocates free-flowing attacking football.
The Germans have made a satisfactory start to the domestic campaign after their European heroics and will be quietly confident of upsetting Pep Guardiola’s men.
City were stunned by Lyon at the quarter-final stage last season and will be desperate to banish memories of previous European failures.
Will this finally be City’s year? Or will Monchengladbach leave their European hopes in ruins once more?
