What they offer

Barefoot, bought to you by Computing at School inspires primary school pupils to think, learn and thrive in a digital world. Introduced in 2014 to help primary school teachers prepare for the changing computing curriculum, Barefoot provides teacher training, high calibre lessons and fun home learning activities (which are included on this Skills for Tomorrow website). The resources are developed by teachers and certified by academics. Barefoot has helped over 3 million children to learn computational thinking and the computing curriculum so far.

Home learning resources: A suite of online games, mini missions and fun activities for parents/carers to share with their children. Bringing computational thinking concepts to life in the home in an interesting and accessible way.

Classroom and teacher resources: Created by a team of practising primary teachers, Barefoot’s high quality, cross-curricular activities and teacher support help bring computational thinking concepts and approaches alive in engaging and practical ways.

Barefoot workshops: Online CPD workshops, run by expert volunteers, introduce teachers to the Barefoot resources including how to bring them into the classroom and then building on this to explore programming.
