The legal stuff
These third parties act as BT's agents. Data supplied to them is securely stored, and is strictly only used under BT's instructions and is returned to BT following use and is not maintained by them. We can confirm the only data passed on to them is Name, Telephone number and BT account number and complies with the Data Protection Act and BT remains data controller of that data.
As part of the suppliers terms and conditions of contract they shall (and ensure that its employees) comply with "BT's business principles" and with all relevant laws and regulations including, without limitation, the Sale of Goods Acts, The Consumer Credit Act, the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and the Data Protection Act 1998, Telecommunications Act 1984.
