You will need to have ordered a BT Mobile plan online during a promotional period and waited 30 days.

Once we have confirmed your claim your card will be dispatched. This could take up to 60 days to arrive.

Buy a BT Mobile SIM Only or Family SIM plan during the offer period and you’ll get a full 30 days to try us. If you aren’t happy for any reason, just call us within 30 days of placing your order and we’ll cancel your contract and refund your first monthly plan charge. If you're a BT Mobile SIM Only customer you'll get a £50 discount code in your email confirmation. Go to shop.bt.com select your handset and enter the code when asked. You’ll find the code in your email order confirmation.

If you have BT Broadband at home you can get a £5 discount on your BT Mobile plan. You don't need to be the BT Broadband account holder – you simply need to live in a house or flat with a BT Broadband connection. What's more, everyone in the house can benefit from the discount.

Simply tell us you have broadband at home and we’ll show you the plans with a discount. 

Not a problem! All you need to keep your number is a PAC code from your old mobile provider. A PAC code is 9-character code like 'ABC123456', that allows us to transfer your number from your old provider to BT. Once you've activated your SIM you can give us your PAC code and the transfer usually takes 24 hours. We'll keep in touch with you to let you know what's happening.

SIM Only customers:

If you’re a SIM Only customer you can upgrade at any time. We’ll set up a new contract for you if you have less than three months on your existing one. You can downgrade to the next tier down once within a contract period. The change happens from your next bill and does not start a new contract at any point in your contract period.

Customers with handsets

You can upgrade at any time, and this does not start a new contract. You can’t downgrade while you’re in contract.

You can only order one BT Mobile plan at a time, but you can come back later and order a second plan if you'd like. You're allowed up to five plans per account, but there's no limit to the number of people in a house that can order.

When you place an order with BT Mobile you might need to go through the following checks:

  • A credit check – this checks your credit worthiness and stops people fraudulently ordering things in your name. You might need to answer a few questions about your job history and bank account. The check will be recorded on your credit file.
  • An identity check – this is to protect you from identity theft and fraud. You'll need to answer a minimum of three questions about your personal finances which will be checked against your credit file.
  • A bank check – this is to make sure the details you've given match the details that Equifax have on file.

We don't see or file any of the information you provide. It's all checked by the credit reference agency. If you have any questions about your credit file you'll need to speak directly to Equifax.

Ownership of broadband hubs and TV boxes

  • As of 13 December 2019, we own all BT Broadband Hubs (Hub 4, Smart Hub, Ultrafast Smart Hub and Smart Hub 2) and TV Boxes (Z4, G4 and G5) sent out to customers. Not applicable for Hubs and Wi-Fi Discs purchased outright.
  • When you replace hubs or boxes, or leave BT, please return those items to us. If the kit is not returned, you may be liable for a charge. Details of charging can be found on the Tariff Guide.
  • You have a total of 60 days to return your items and which includes the time taken for us to send out a jiffy bag.
  • If you prefer, you may also drop your items off in an EE store (see bt.com/returns for more details).

BT Sport

On 21 February 2020 the standard price of BT Sport is changing, BT Sport on BT TV will be £15 a month, BT Sport App will be £15 a month and BT Sport on Sky TV will be £20 a month.

Superfast Fibre from BT

Stay Fast Guarantee

We guarantee the speed to your hub. Check your speed using the MyBT app, online or by calling 0800 800 150. If after 30 days we can’t get you back to the speed we promised we’ll give you a £20 Reward Card. Up to four claims a year. Excludes outages, connection faults and home wiring outside of BT’s control.

Full Fibre

Openreach Survey: In some cases Openreach have to carry out a survey before they can connect a home. To do this they may need access to your property. If they do we’ll contact you to arrange a suitable time. If additional work is required, this may take longer than the initial set-up time provided and there could be additional costs. Our team of specialists will contact you to confirm what additional work is needed and how long this will take, usually within four weeks from the date your order was placed. If you don’t want to proceed with your upgrade based on this, you will be able to cancel your order and no charges will be applied to your account. Not all lines in an Ultrafast Fibre area can support this service, call today to see if you are eligible.

BT Broadband and TV Installation service terms

What we provide

1.      We will:

a.      install and connect your BT Hub and connect a device to the BT Broadband service;

b.      demonstrate a working product and test your Wi-Fi signal;

c.       connect any additional kit for other BT products and services such as Complete Wi-Fi;

d.      connect your BT TV to the BT Broadband, including any multi-room boxes where applicable; and

e.      install a single additional cable / socket if needed in order to connect your BT Broadband Service.

2.      You will be responsible for reconnecting any existing devices or equipment you may have.

Providing the Broadband installation service to you

3.      In order to provide the service:

a.      your property must be located on the UK mainland and Northern Ireland;

b.      you must own the property or have permission from the landlord or agent managing the property and have permission from any other relevant authority to have the work done; and

c.       there must be a responsible adult present in your home. Where this person is not you, it must be someone authorised by you to make decisions regarding the location and installation of equipment.

d.      as the account holder, you must be present if you wish to make any changes to the service we’re providing, or if you decide to purchase additional products from our Home Tech Expert.

Who will be carrying out the installation service?

4.      We work with Openreach to provide installation services if you require a new phone line, and for specific technology changes that require work outside of your property (e.g. Full Fibre). You may also choose an optional installation by one of our Home Tech Experts, this is a chargeable service, details of charges are shown in our Tariff Guide

5.      What is a Home Tech Expert? Working in partnership with Enjoy and Qube, our Home Tech Experts are trained to install, repair and optimise BT products and services (e.g. Smart Hub 2, BT TV, My BT app, Complete Wi-Fi, BT master phone socket) whilst visiting you at home. Our Home Tech Experts can also connect non-BT devices to the BT Smart Hub over Wi-Fi. Home Tech Experts will provide advice on the full range of BT’s products and services, some of which you may choose to purchase during the visit.

When the Broadband installation service starts

6.      We will agree a date and timeslot with you for the service. If there is a delay in performing the service for reasons outside of our control then we will let you know and take steps to reduce the delay. We will not be liable to you for such delays.

7.      We aim to arrange a Home Tech Expert visit for the day after your Broadband has been activated to ensure the network is ready. We’ll send you your new Hub in the post beforehand so if you want to make sure your service is continuous, you might need to plug it in before your Home Tech Expert appointment.

8.      If we need to change the installation date, we will try to contact you as soon as possible before the scheduled installation date.

9.      If you need to change or cancel any appointment date, you must tell BT at least one working day prior to the scheduled appointment or we may charge the equivalent of the installation charge. We may also charge you if the engineer is unable to access or is refused access to your property at the time of the scheduled appointment.

Cancellation

10.  You may cancel your agreement for the service at any time before the engineer or Home Tech Expert starts work on the installation. Once the installation work has started any applicable installation charges cannot be refunded, and you will be liable to pay this. For details of charges please see our Tariff Guide.

11.  The Broadband installation service is a standalone service and separate from your contract for the BT Broadband Service.

Other things you should know

12.  If the Broadband and TV installation service cannot be provided for reasons outside our control you will not be charged.

Calls to service numbers

Calls to service numbers starting 084, 087, 09 & 118 consist of a 20p per minute access charge from BT, plus a service charge set by the company you call.

Where calling plans include a set number of minutes we always round up to the nearest minute.

Pay As You Go: 30 day minimum term. 20p per minute for all UK landlines, UK mobiles and 0845 and 0870 numbers excluding the Channel Islands.

500 Minutes: 30 day minimum term. 500 inclusive anytime minutes to UK landlines, UK mobiles and 0845 and 0870 numbers excluding the Channel Islands. Maximum of 150 calls a month to 0845 and 0870 numbers. If you exceed your 500 Minute calling plan allowance two months in a row we’ll move you onto our Unlimited Minutes plan.

International Freedom

Call Diversion

Customers pay for the diverted leg of the call at applicable rates.

BT Answer 1571 voicemail

Opt-in is required. £3.54 a month. No minimum call commitment applies. The call return feature will not be available if the person leaving the message has chosen to withhold their number or if the call was from an international number. Customers who use Call Barring should note that calls to 1571 will be barred under outgoing Call Barring option 1. This is because calling 1571 may lead to a chargeable call. A facility fee of 35p, will also be charged for the call set-up attempt. Some social alarm and burglar alarm equipment may not be compatible with BT Answer 1571. Please check with your supplier.

BT 1471

Dialling BT 1471 without using Call Return is free. The Call Return feature of BT 1471 costs a fixed fee of 35p. The fee will apply when you press 3 to return your last caller's call. This charge applies whether or not the call is connected. If you don't want your number to be obtained through Caller Display or Call Return (1471), dial 141 before making your call. 1471 cannot disclose the number if the number is withheld, unavailable or the call came from a switchboard extension number.

BT8600 Nuisance Call Blocker

Nuisance call blocking functionality blocks up to 100% of nuisance/unwanted calls. To block nuisance calls you need the Caller Display service to be active on your account. See landline details.

Line rental

You can pay for your monthly line rental either by direct debit for £20.20 a month for Standard Line or by paying £219.84, equivalent to £18.32 a month by credit/debit card for 12 monthly payments in advance (Line Rental Saver).  You'll need to pay any additional call charges by Direct Debit. You'll receive e-billing. Connection charges may apply for new connections. There's a 12 month minimum term. Exclusions and conditions apply.

Home Phone Saver 2020

£21.99 a month. Available to new and existing BT customers that sign up for an 18 month minimum term. Package includes BT line rental and unlimited calls to UK* landlines for up to an hour. Also included when you opt in are: BT Privacy Caller Display, Anonymous Call Reject, and Free 1471 call return. This package cannot be taken alongside BT Broadband with calls bundles, Line Rental Saver or Line Rental Plus. Terms apply.

Line Rental Plus

£22.20 a month. Available to new and existing standard BT line rental customers. A 12-month minimum term applies for new line rental contracts. Includes PromptCare, Choose to Refuse, SMS alerts, Premium Rate Service and International Call Barring. Monthly Spend Cap

Your spend cap is for data, minutes or texts beyond your plan’s monthly allowance, you can set a limit on what you spend. Any add-ons you buy won’t count towards the spend cap and you’ll get separate one-off or monthly charges for these.

Your initial cap is set to £40 for out of plan spend and £35 for data roaming, you can decrease your limit to £0 or increase up to a maximum of £200 subject to your credit status.

Add ons

Extra Speed - With Extra Speed 4G, the maximum speed available through the network is capped at 60 Mbps rather than 30 Mbps on our standard 4G. This add on is valid from the moment you buy it and then runs on a 30 day rolling contract. Extra Speed 4G is not available on BT Business Mobile plans.

Roaming - Travel Data Pass is a daily data roaming add-on available to all new and existing BT Mobile customers. USA Data Roaming add-ons are no longer available for sale. They are valid for 30 days or until you've used up all the data – whichever comes first.

We aim to unlock all devices within 72 hours. If we need to contact the manufacturer to get a code, it may take 10 days. But, we’ll be in touch if that’s the case.

BT Mobile Extras

Extra Speed

With Extra Speed, the maximum speed available through the network is capped at 60 Mbps rather than 30 Mbps on our standard 4G. The speeds you get on your phone will be lower, and depend on things like the number of users, distance from the mast and the type of 4G phone you have. This add on is valid from the moment you buy it and then runs on a 30 day rolling contract. Extra Speed is not available on BT Business Mobile plans.

Data and minute add-ons

These add-ons run on a 30 day rolling contract until you cancel them. When you first buy an Add-On, it lasts until the date of your next BT Mobile bill. It covers minutes or data used over your inclusive plan allowance, up to the allowance for that Add-On, from your last BT Mobile bill until your next one. Add-On allowances reset at the start of each billing month. You can only have one data and one minutes Add-On at any one time

A UK Add-On covers minutes or data used over your inclusive plan allowance, up to the allowance for that Add-On, from your last BT Mobile bill until your next one. (So if you buy a 500MB Add-On 10 days before the date of your next bill, it'll cover the data you use for those days and the previous 20). The add-on renews automatically every month on the date you get your BT Mobile bill, unless you cancel it.

If you don't want your UK Add-On to renew automatically, you'll need to contact us to cancel it before the date of your next BT Mobile bill. (You can still carry on using it until the date of your next bill and we won't charge you again). Any unused allowance won't carry over when your billing month ends. And if you go over your allowance, standard charges will apply. You can have a maximum of one for minutes and one for data at any one time. We won't transfer or refund UK Add-Ons. They're for your personal use and subject to BT Mobile Service terms and conditions.


BT Reward Card Terms

BT Reward Card is available to new and existing BT Mobile customers ordering the service through bt.com, excluding BT employees.

Available on single SIMs and the first SIM in each Family SIM plan; excludes re-grades & re-contracts.

You will need to have ordered a new BT Mobile plan online during a promotional period and waited 30 days before claiming. Your BT Reward Card could take up to 30 days from claim date to arrive.

On receipt you must activate the card within 3 months via the activation code, which will be sent to you by email to the email address provided with your order. The card is a non-reloadable prepaid card with no cash access (ATM or cash back). The BT Reward Card can be used at most merchants which display the Mastercard® acceptance mark until the funds on the card are depleted or until the card expiry date. Unspent funds which remain on the card after expiry date printed on the card cannot be redeemed. The card cannot be used at any Customer Activated Terminals (such as but not limited to pay@pump, toll roads, car parks or train ticket terminals), for subscriptions automated periodic payments, to withdraw cash via cashback ATM, foreign exchange bureaus, gambling, or any illegal goods services.   • To be eligible to participate in the Promotion you must be aged 18 or over and residing in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey (‘Participant’). Businesses are excluded from participating in this Promotion except for business customers purchasing the Qualifying Product(s) through Carphone Warehouse Business, Currys PCW Business, EE Business, O2 Business, Three Business, and Vodafone Business customer accounts (‘Business Participant’). Unless stated otherwise within these Terms and Conditions, reference to Participant shall be taken to mean both Participants and Business Participants.
  • A claim must be made by the end user Participant, and must not be submitted through agents, retailers, resellers, third parties or in bulk.
  • Only five claims per Participant are permitted, unless you are a Business Participant whereby you can make up to 10 claims. Only one claim per Qualifying Product is permitted. This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Huawei promotion for the same Qualifying Product.
  • Participants who cancel their purchase will not be eligible to receive the Promotional Item.
  • Participants who return the Qualifying Product to the Qualifying Retailer within 14 calendar days of the date of purchase will not be eligible to receive the Promotional Item. The date of purchase counts as day one (1).

Entry

  • Participants may only submit a claim for the Promotional Item after fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of purchase. Following the fourteen day (14) waiting period, Participants must visit Huawei's Promo site on or between 14th February 2020 and 31st March 2020 complete and submit the claim form (including providing the IMEI of the Qualifying Product, Participant’s postal address in the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey where the Promotional Item shall be delivered) and upload a copy of their proof of purchase (as applicable) of the Qualifying Product from a Qualifying Retailer. Claim form information and supporting proof of purchase documents (as applicable) must be received on or before 23:59 GMT 31st March 2020 to be eligible to claim for a Promotional Item free of charge. See FAQs for details of the form of supporting documents required as evidence of purchase for each of the Qualifying Retailers and, the information to be provided as part of the claim form process.
  • The Promotional Item is subject to availability, while stocks last. Huawei reserves the right to replace the Promotional Item with an alternative promotional offer of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Huawei’s control make it necessary to do so.
  • The Qualifying Products are subject to availability while stocks last.
  • The Administrator will post the Promotional Item within 30 days of successful claim validation, to the address provided by the Participant in the claim form and, the Promotional Item will require a signature on delivery.

  • Compensation for the Promotional Item in cash, its exchange, or its transfer to other persons are excluded.
  • If the claim is deemed to have not been submitted correctly, the Participant will be notified via email and offered the opportunity to provide the required information within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of the email. If no response is received within seven (7) calendar days of the email being sent, then the claim shall be marked as invalid and the Participant will no longer be eligible to receive the Promotional Item. It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us if you have not received an update on the status of your claim within seven (7) calendar days.
  • Subject to condition 12 above, claims that are incomplete will be deemed invalid. Huawei or the Administrator are not responsible for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of claims.
  • Huawei reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions and to disqualify claims which it considers do not comply with these Terms and Conditions at any time at its own discretion. Huawei’s decisions regarding all promotional matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Huawei and the Administrator shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect themselves against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to generate or require further verification as to proof of purchase, as well as the identity, age, and other relevant details of a Participant, deny issuing the Promotional Item, or terminate the Promotion due to excessive fraud. This process may involve Huawei sharing information with third parties.
  • Huawei excludes liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any loss or damage caused to a Participant arising out of or in connection with the Promotional Item or this Promotion. Without prejudice to the preceding restriction, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Huawei liability to you exceed £50.00.

The Promoter

Promotion Period

  • The Promotion will commence at 20:00 (GMT) on 11 February 2020 and shall close at 23:59 (GMT) on the 8 March 2020 (the “Promotion Period”).

Eligibility

  • Pre-orders from auction websites (e.g. eBay) or from third party sellers on online retailers’ websites (e.g. Amazon Marketplace) are specifically excluded from this Promotion.
  • Rewards are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a Reward of equal or greater value for the Reward. Claims

  • Upon taking delivery of the Promotion Product, Participants must register for the Samsung Members app using either an existing, or newly created Samsung Account. The Participant should then visit the Benefits section of the Samsung Members app and click on the Pre Order banner and select view details to upload an Order advice notice and provide all other required information in order to make an application for Reward under this Promotion (a “Claim”).
  • Claims must be submitted between 00.01 (GMT) 10 March 2020 and 23:59 (BST) 12 April 2020 (the “Claim Period”). Claims received outside the Claim Period will be marked as invalid and will not be accepted.
  • Maximum one (1) Claim per Promotion Product pre-ordered and purchased, a maximum of two (2) Claims per household and a maximum of two-hundred and fifty (250) Claims per Company Participant.
  • Participants will be sent an email to confirm their Claim has been received by the Promoter instantly upon entry of a Claim. Please note that Claims received may take up to seven (7) days from the date of receipt of a Claim and Participants will be sent an email to confirm whether their Claim has been successful and validated (“Claim Validation”).
  • If an email acknowledgement has not been received, it is the Participant’s responsibility to contact the Promoter’s customer service team by email at preorder@samsungpromotions.claims or by phone 03452160058 (UK) and 016533900 (Ireland) within seven (7) days of a Claim being submitted.

  • Claims that are incomplete or damaged will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of Claims.
  • The Reward will be delivered within forty-five (45) days of the Claim being validated to the postal address provided in the Claim.
  • The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify Claims which it considers do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  • The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid Claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to proof of pre-order, as well as the identity, age and other relevant details of a Participant.
  • If a Participant returns or cancels the pre-order of a Promotion Product before submitting a Claim, the Participant must not make a Claim. If a Participant returns or cancels the delivery of a Promotion Product after submitting a Claim, the Claim will be invalid and the Participant must cancel the Claim immediately by calling 03452160058 (UK) and 016533900 (Ireland) The Promoter reserves the right to check with Participating Retailers whether a Promotion Product has been returned and by submitting a Claim the Participant provides consent to the Promoter to do so.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • The Promoter’s use of any personal information submitted by the Participant shall be limited to communications about the Promotion and for managing the redemption process. The Participant hereby consents to its personal information being used for this purpose and confirms that it agrees with the Promoter’s privacy policy available at: samsung.com/uk/info/privacy. The Participant may withdraw consent to such use of personal information by writing to the Promoter or by using the opt-out process outlined in the Promoter’s privacy policy.
  • Other than as set out in these Terms and Conditions, the details and information provided by the Participant when entering the Promotion or claiming the Reward will not be used for any other purpose, nor shall they be passed to any third party.

General

  • The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to the Promotion whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.
  • The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the Terms and Conditions of the Promotion.
  • The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or Claims; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of the Promoter; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Promotion.
  • Participants will be solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and any other relevant costs or expenses which are not stated in the Terms and Conditions as being included.
