Go to the 'Guest Wi-Fi' tab and tap on the slider button to turn Guest Wi-Fi on and then follow the on-screen set-up instructions.

You must create a password to enable your Guest Wi-Fi Network. And you can also choose a new name for your Guest Wi-Fi, which will be displayed when guests are searching for a wi-fi network to connect to.

If you're using Whole Home Wi-Fi or Premium or Whole Home Wi-Fi 6, you can tell your guests the Guest Network name and password, or send them the login details by clicking Share Login Details and then selecting how you wish to share this from the options given. (For example, by email or text message).

You can also set a schedule for when your Guest Wi-Fi Network will be available to guests. Just tap on Schedule in the Guest Wi-Fi tab and select the dates and times for on and off periods.

See this video for simple set-up of a Guest Network:

From the 'Devices' tab, you can see the names of all devices connected to your network, together with those in groups. You can also scroll down to see any that are off-line (devices previously connected to your network).

Tapping on any of the devices shown, will open a 'Device Information' menu where you can update access controls (add or remove from a group, rename or block a device). You'll need the Admin password to make changes.

In addition, the Home screen gives you visibility of how your Whole Home Wi-Fi network is connected, with each disc showing the number of devices currently connected to it - for example, 'x' devices connected. Tap on the disc and then See Connected Devices, to show any devices connected to that disc. Tapping on any of the devices shown will open 'Device Information'. This is where you can update access controls (add or remove from a group, rename or block a device). You'll need the Admin password to make changes.

Whole Home Wi-Fi only:

Access Controls put you in control of your home network, giving you the flexibility to pause your wi-fi for individual devices, or groups of devices, or for everyone. Pressing the Pause button on the Home screen will stop internet access for all your devices without disconnecting the wi-fi.

You can also set up schedules for timed pauses, such as a regular bedtime pauses, or you can create your own custom schedule. To use access controls, select the device or the group from the Devices tab and then select the option you wish to apply:

  • Timed pause - Immediately pauses internet access. Choose from one hour, two hours, until morning or select a time
  • Bedtime - This is a pre-populated schedule that turns off internet access at night. 'School nights' have been set from 8pm to 8am for Sunday to Thursday nights. Friday and Saturday nights have extended access to 10pm. This schedule can easily be adjusted to suit - tap Edit Bedtime and choose your days and times
  • Custom schedule - To create, first select the device or group and then tap on New Custom Schedule. Choose the days and the times you want to turn wi-fi on and off. To add different times for different days (for example, the weekend) tap Add extra days. Once completed, tap Next, name the schedule and press the Save button.
