Moving home with BT doesn't have to mean changing your phone number. Here's what you need to know.
If you’re moving within the same area
If your new address is connect to the same exchange, you can usually keep your number for no extra cost.
When you tell us about your move, we’ll let you know if you can keep your number, and give you an estimate of your new broadband speed.
If you’re moving to a different area
If your new home is connected to a different exchange, you can't keep your number because the dialling code is different.
But don't worry. We’ll let you know during the moving process and give you a new number for free.
If you're switching to BT from another provider
If you’re joining BT from another provider, you can normally bring your existing number with you.
Just tell us your current provider and the number you want to keep. We’ll handle the rest.
