How to use your test socket

If you are having problems with your broadband, it could be an issues with your internal telephone extensions. So before you call us, it will save time if you try using your test socket. The video below can help you do this.

Please note:

  • The instructions below work for Copper and Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) customers, not those on Full Fibre. 
  • The white Openreach box in the video was originally used by FTTC customers with the Home Hub 3 and 4. If you have the Home Hub 5 or later, you won't need the box, it's integrated into your hub.
