If you signed up to a new contract for a BT Landline, BT Broadband or BT Mobile between 11 January 2019 and 31 August 2020, the monthly price will increase on 31 March each year in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation, as published in the previous January of each year by the Office for National Statistics.
If you signed up to a new contract on or after 1 September 2020 for Broadband, Voice, Mobile, TV or Sport, the monthly price will increase on 31 March each year, and that increase will be based on CPI plus an additional 3.9%. Call charges and add-on features will also increase by this amount for all customers.
There are some exceptions to this, such as BT Basic, Home Phone Saver and line rental charges for customers who have a landline but no broadband with BT or any other provider. We’re writing to all our customers between 10 February and 19 March 2021, with a breakdown of the individual prices that are changing.
