FAQs

The unlimited data offer was open to new registrations until midnight on 17 December 2020. All NHS staff who have successfully registered before this date will have unlimited data until 30 June 2021. From 1 July 2021 onwards the data allowance of all successful registrants will revert to their original data allowance.
All BT Mobile customers who are NHS workers with a valid NHS email address can take advantage of this offer. Please see our terms and conditions.

Once you’ve filled in the form you won’t need to do anything else. We’ll take your validated details and, if your NHS email address is valid, we will apply unlimited data onto your account within 7 days. You’ll receive a text message when the data has been applied.
We will notify you via email or text message if there is a reason this can't be applied to your account.
This offer can only be claimed once per NHS member of staff.
No unfortunately not. This offer is only valid for BT Mobile customers who work in the NHS with a valid NHS email address.
Only NHS workers with a valid NHS email will be eligible. So, this will not apply to contractors.
Yes, you need to be a BT Mobile customer to qualify for this offer. If you are not currently a BT Mobile customer, you can choose to join us and then you'll be able to take the offer as long as you work in the NHS and have a valid NHS email.
Yes, you will receive a text message in advance of the offer coming to an end. We will also send a follow up text once the unlimited data has been removed.
Yes, the unlimited data will stay on your account until the offer comes to an end regardless of whether you renew your contract or upgrade your plan.

Yes, you can hotspot off your phone if it's for personal use only. If you regularly tether 12 or more devices, we will consider this non-personal use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan. We will consider usage above 1000GB/month to be commercial use and have the right to move you to a business plan.
This data can only be used in the UK and does not work abroad. If you go abroad, the Unlimited Data Add-On will stop working, and your data allowance will revert to its normal limit. Once you return to the UK the Unlimited Data Add-On will resume working.

The Offer 1. BT Mobile customers who are current NHS staff are entitled to unlimited data until 30 June 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus issue. 2. NHS staff who have a valid NHS email address can register for this Unlimited Data offer until midnight on 17 December 2020. Eligibility 3. This offer is available to customers on any BT Mobile SIM Only, Family SIM, Handset, or Data SIM plan who are current NHS staff with a valid NHS email address. 4. The offer is not transferrable and can only be applied to an account in the name of the NHS staff member. 5. The offer can only be claimed once per person. 6. Once you apply for this offer, we will verify your eligibility by validating the NHS email that you use in your application. 7. If you are on an unlimited plan, you are not eligible for a discount or credit instead of this offer. The Data 8. Once your application has been accepted, it may take up to 7 days for the unlimited data to be added to your account. You will be notified by SMS once the unlimited data has been added to your account. 9. Once applied to your account, the unlimited data will renew each month until 30 June 2021, or until removed by the customer. 10. If you want to remove the unlimited data before BT Mobile end the offer, then please contact BT Mobile on 0800 800 150 or on 150 if calling from your BT Mobile number. 11. This unlimited data offer does not change your current plan or the amount that you pay for your current plan. 12. This offer only concerns unlimited data. If you’re on capped minutes or texts plan and would like to move to an unlimited minutes or texts plan, then please contact BT Mobile on 0800 800 150 or on 150 if calling from your BT Mobile number. 13. If you upgrade your plan before 30 June 2021, then the unlimited data will remain on your account until the offer ends. If you move to an unlimited plan you will not be eligible for a discount or credit in lieu of the offer. 14. Unlimited data can only be used in the UK and does not work abroad. If you go abroad, the Unlimited Data Add-On will stop working and your data allowance will revert to its normal limit. Once you return to the UK the Unlimited Data Add-On will resume working. 15. Data is for personal, non-commercial use only. If you regularly tether 12 or more devices, we will consider this non-personal use and have the right to move you to a more suitable plan. We will consider usage above 1000GB/month to be commercial use and have the right to move you to a business plan. 16. The unlimited data does not form part of your plan and any change to the unlimited data offer does not entitle you to cancel your Agreement with us for mobile network services. 16. The unlimited data offer will end on 30 June 2021. From 1 July 2021 onwards your data allowance will revert to your original data allowance. Data protection 18. When registering for this offer we require you to provide: 18.1 A valid NHS email address, which will be used to validate you are an NHS worker and applicable for this offer; and 18.2 Your first name, surname and mobile number, which will be used to identify your existing BT account and (if applicable) apply the offer to your account. 19. Any personal data you provide to BT when applying for this offer, which does not already form part of your existing account details, will only be used to validate your applicability for the offer and will not be used for any other purpose. 20. Except where otherwise prescribed above, your data will be processed in line with our Privacy Policy, Network Terms, Pay Monthly Plan Terms and your selected marketing preferences.
