Marketing. Where would we be without our Marketing department? Not very far, that’s for sure. Our marketing teams create huge campaigns to attract customers to our company, making sure they know not only what our customers want, but what we’re all about. They cover the full spectrum, from launching new products with a TV campaign, to sponsoring and running events, and everything in-between.
But enough about how amazing our current marketing team is, or how they have one of the biggest budgets in the business, or how they often get to work with not one, not two, but three awesome brands (BT, EE and Plusnet), you’re probably wondering what you’ll be doing during your programme.
Let’s start at the beginning. None of our amazing campaigns would work without out marketing research and marketing planning team. After all, you need to know who you want to attract, and how best to do it. Then, you might spend some time with our Above-the-Line team, working on those big campaigns we mentioned. From working on TV adverts to delivering giant billboards, there is never a dull moment. Or perhaps you’ll spend some time with the marketing communications team, looking at our customer lifecycle and working with the analytics teams to decide what offers to send to which customers.
Aside from the more traditional marketing, you might get a chance to try your hand at the digital side of things. Get stuck in with PPC, SEO, paid and organic advertising – the world is your oyster. You might also do some work reporting on how successful our campaigns have been, so we know what works for next time.
No matter what area of the business you end up in, you’ll work alongside and manage our creative agencies, helping to deliver to amazing campaigns.
It’s not just about marketing though. Whilst on the scheme you’ll have the opportunity to develop a range of other additional skills such as commercial, stakeholder and change management. All together it will give you all the skills and experience you need to kick-start a fantastic career in marketing.
Our Marketing programme is available our Consumer, part of our business. As part of this programme, you’ll do three rotations around our Marketing teams, spending eight months on each rotation.
