Software Engineering is key; after all, without it we wouldn’t be able to build new products and services for our customers. We work with a wide variety of customers, from small businesses to global FTSE 100 giants. And our software engineers help build critical systems to keep them all connected. So, it’s really vital work.

When you join us a Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be a part of a team building these future services and simplify how our customers connect with each other. 

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Writing high performance, well tested code.
  • Working with a simple light weight microservices architecture – either consuming or building the services
  • Documenting what’s been done, not because it ticks a box, but because it’s useful.
  • Working with other developers to develop and share your knowledge.
  • Delivering “full stack” software – from front-end portals, to middleware to backend, depending on where you are placed

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • A 2.2 degree or higher in a STEM subject
  • Knowledge of Java, Bash scripting and potentially Typescript
  • An understanding of agile development methodology
  • Knowledge of My SQL
  • Awareness of Git for Source control
