Build an unbelievable career

Our sales advisors are the people who match our customers with the perfect product or service package to suit their lifestyle. From simple upgrades to complex multi-service contracts, they’re the best at understanding our customers’ needs and finding them the ideal solution.

When you join our Sales, Value or Loyalty team, we’ll teach you how to ask the right questions and provide the expertise our customers are looking for. Whether you’re taking or making calls, you can be sure every conversation will be different – and every day will bring a new challenge. You’ll learn how to develop personal connections quickly, in just one call, and you’ll provide them with a service that keeps them coming back for more. With the best training, amazing benefits and bonuses and a great team around you, you’ll go further than you ever thought possible.

What we look for

Our advisors are a resilient and empathetic bunch with a genuine love for our products and services – and helping our customers to get the best out of them. To them, no challenge is too big, no ask too great. Naturals when it comes to making conversation and at their best when thinking on their feet, they go out of their way to offer our customers a service they’ll never forget.

You don’t need years of contact centre experience to join the team; just a positive approach to work and a flair for making conversation. If you’ve previously worked in a customer-facing environment or to targets, we’ll help you build up the confidence and expertise to go far here.

What makes a brilliant sales advisor?

Someone who is great at listening, building relationships with lots of different people and can think on their feet will do really well at BT.

Forget the normal 9-5

Our shifts

We offer both full and part time roles, so you can choose between working 37.5, 30 and 25 hours a week. Because being there when our customers need us is crucial, you’ll also work a specific shift pattern. Our shift patterns not only mean we can keep our contact centres open from Monday to Sunday, generally between the hours of 8am-10pm, but that our advisors have the flexibility to make work fit around their lifestyle. Whether that means getting to the gym when it’s nice and quiet or picking the kids up from school, it’s an arrangement our people seem to love.

So, how does it look?

  • If you’re full-time, you’ll work 2.5-3 evenings (between 6pm-10pm) a week on average.
  • Over a ten-week period, this works out as 25 evenings, 6 Saturdays and 2 Sundays.
  • If you work part-time, the amount of evenings, Saturdays and Sundays you work will be reduced.

See how our advisors are making the most of their shifts.
