A DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack is an attempt to bring down an online service by overwhelming it with traffic from lots of different places.

Number of DDoS events per quarter

DDoS attacks vary in frequency. Over the last quarter (Jan – March 2020), we've seen a slight increase in the number of high DDoS alerts compared to the previous quarter of 2%.

We proactively monitor and protect our network for DDoS attacks. When we spot one, we block it to keep our customers safe and make sure their network access and performance isn’t compromised.

DDoS attacks aim to disrupt internet traffic from reaching its destination, similar to a conventional traffic jam. They’re unpredictable and cause wide-scale disruption, with criminals able to launch enormous attacks. Trends since 2016 tell us they’re steadily increasing, but we have state of the art technology. Our experts monitor and mitigate the threats, so the rest of us can go about our business with minimal disruption.
