At the annual meeting, leaders from business, government, and society from more than 100 countries helped set the global agenda, identify emerging issues and challenges, and engage in dialogue, initiative and action. What is "The shifting power equation"?As the global importance of Brazil, Russia, India and China (the "BRIC" countries) increases, new business models will evolve. BT's involvementBen Verwaayen, Chief Executive Officer, BT, spoke at the session 'Leading in a Networked World'. The panel explored the definition of both what is meant by a networked world, and defining what imperatives this implies for corporate leaders. To read the synopsis of this session, click here. Ben also spoke at a session entitled 'New Blood for Industrialised Societies', which debated the global situation whereby more than 140 million people live outside their countries of birth, with illegal immigration being the most rapidly growing form of human migration.
