1) If you became a BT Total Broadband member from the middle of March 2009 then you will automatically be part of the BT FON Wi-Fi community, unless you have chosen to opt-out. From December 2009 all customers who recontract for their BT Total Broadband service will also become part of the BT FON Wi-Fi community. All other BT Total Broadband customers prior to this date who do not agree a new minimum term will need to opt-in via www.bt.com/btfon.
2) Wi-Fi access outside of the home is only available if you are part of the BT FON Wi-Fi Community. Opting in means that, when in range of another member’s signal, you will be able to securely access the Internet using a portion of their Wi-Fi bandwidth. Other BT FON Wi-Fi Community members will also be able to securely access the Internet using a portion of the bandwidth available from your BT Home Hub when they are in range (of the signal).
3) Once opted-in you will also get access to the Internet when you are in a BT Openzone or in range of a FON access point outside of the UK.
4) Once opted-in to BT FON regardless of the BT Broadband Option* you have chosen, you will automatically be able to use unlimited** minutes to use the internet when you are in range of BT FON and BT Openzone access points.
5) You can choose to opt-out of the BT FON Wifi Community at any time. If you do you will no longer be able to get internet access in BT Fon access points, Fon access points around the world or BT Openzones, we will not credit any more minutes to your account and other community members will not be able to share your bandwidth.

7) There is no cash alternative or substitute to this offer and the Wi-Fi access is non transferable and non assignable.
8) BT reserves the right to change or withdraw this offer at any time.
* Even if you don’t have a BT Home hub you will still get the minutes of access when you opt-in. If you get a BT Home hub in the future and remain opted in it will automatically be configured to allow other BT FON Wi-Fi community members to log in.
** Subject to a Fair Use Policy of 10,000 minutes per month. If you exceed this in any given month you will have to re-log in to the BT Fon service every 30 minutes thereafter until the start of the next month.
