Getting help on your computer

If your computer has a working internet connection, all the help and tools you need are on our help site at www.bt.com/help >

Why not add the help site to your browser favourites, so you have it handy whenever you need a helping hand.

To do this:

  1. Go to www.bt.com/help >
  2. When you're there, hold CTRL and D at the same time to add it to your favourites

Getting help on your smartphone or tablet

When you can't get online on your computer, you can get help using a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet. Just go to www.bt.com/help in your mobile browser or download the My BT app >

The award-winning My BT app has its very own help section with tools for testing your broadband speed and checking how services are performing in your area. You'll also find troubleshooting and FAQs.

To get the My BT app:

  • If you've got an Apple or Android phone, simply text 'MyBT' to 81192 and we'll send you a link to download the app.
  • You can also follow these links to find the app on Google Play > or in the iPhone App Store > Or try searching for "my bt".

     

How to uninstall BT Desktop Help

  • Run the "Uninstall BT Desktop Help" option from the Start menu.

    Follow the onscreen wizard through to completion
